Changing marketplace

The UK legal market changes soon, when the Legal Services Act 2007 comes into force. Law firms will then be open to major change. Alternative Business Structures (ABSs), Legal Disciplinary Practices (LDPs), and external ownership will all throw open the legal market.

Guy has been recruiting for the legal sector for almost 15 years.

In the first phase of his recruitment career, he developed a leading reputation placing CEOs, COOs, practice management and marketing/business development staff into the top 200 law firms.

Identifying a gap in the market, he switched his attention to the Bar, where he now works exclusively. He places barristers between chambers from five year call up to Silk, CEOs, chambers management, marketing/business development and all areas of the clerks' room from fees’ clerks to directors of clerking.

Guy's practice covers the whole market in the UK. He has been responsible for some of the most groundbreaking deals at the Bar in the last 10 years for barristers, CEOs and clerks.

Anil Shah

Anil has been recruiting for the legal sector for over 20 years. His core sectors are private practice, in-house and the Bar.

Anil has an established reputation with extensive experience that includes:

- recruiting partners and teams of lawyers into Anglo-Saxon, US and international firms
- setting up offices for firms in foreign jurisdictions
- advising on the recruitment aspects of law firm mergers
- placing senior associates directly into partnership
- moving lawyers in-house from private practice
- moving lawyers from private practice in-house

Anil also acts as an expert witness in cases involving lawyers' loss of earnings resulting from personal injury and other claims.
