*IP* PARTNER DESIGNATE/JUNIOR PARTNER
An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for either an IP junior partner or partner designate to join a leading partner of a busy IP team to further assist with the development of the practice with an opportunity to lead the practice in the medium term.
This smaller City firm is well known for its more relaxed, yet highly commercial nature and its culture of encouraging partners to develop their practices without too much restraint. The IP practice at this firm is flourishing well and there is a clear opportunity for an ambitious, experienced IP lawyer who wants to take the lead in client relationships and also develop their own clients and contacts to gain partnership (or if at the senior associate level, with a clear route to partnership).
The IP practice is flourishing and clients straddle various industries ranging from large retail, energy and technology through to sports. They advise on all of the IPRs and across contentious and non-contentious IP work. This would suit a true all-rounder (although the firm is open to a focus in one particular area).
The firm has a wealth of work to make up the successful candidate's workload but given the nature of the firm and the fact this is a "leader-in-waiting" role, evidence of client generation is expected. This would suit a capable, bright senior lawyer who wants to work in a more transparent and personable workplace with the understanding that the role will become a 'head of' role in the medium term.
