Barclay Simpson are hiring for a well-known retail bank who are currently seeking an experienced M&A Lawyer. This role has been created to provide core business support and advice for all corporate advisory matters including material/strategic M&A and internal restructuring transactions for all business areas.

The position will also be responsible for providing a high quality, cost effective legal and business service with an emphasis on innovation and providing credible solutions

You will effectively support the delivery of the bank’s UK strategic objectives through execution of Corporate Advisory and transactional work. In addition you will track and advise on regulatory changes and financial services developments and how they impact the Bank.

To be considered for this role you should be a solicitor qualified in England & Wales with between 4 and 10 years PQE. You should have a broad knowledge of corporate legal including M&A, corporate governance and regulatory advice. Previous experience working in house or on secondment in a financial services environment would be desirable.
