This well known financial services organisation is seeking a qualified lawyer between 4 and 8 year PQE for a key role within the retail banking team. This team advises on all legal aspects of the current and proposed products across personal and premier banking. This includes current & savings accounts, payments and secured and regulated lending. The team also provides support to the customer experience division which manages mobile payments, digital business and transformation projects.

The key responsibilities of this role will include providing legal advice on regulations governing retail financial services products. You will also advise on financial technologies including mobile payments as well as non financial customer offering. You will collaborate with other legal functions including data protection and IP. 

As a common law qualified lawyer between the 4 and 8 year PQE mark you will have experience in the fintech or digital space. This is an essential requirement for the client. Retail banking products experience is highly desirable. Commercial contracts lawyers who have technology experience will not be right for this opportunity. Personality will be key for this role as it will require dealing with stakeholders across the business. This role comes with a competitive salary package and an excellent name on the cv.
