Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer

For an associate 2pqe + to join the firm's Financial Services Regulatory team.
The team advises financial institutions of all sizes as well as national and international companies that offer financial products.
They actively advise on a wide range of regulatory, risk management and compliance issues around the world, including major US legislation, EU cross-border financial services legislation and approaches driven by global financial services bodies.
This includes :
regulatory matters affecting the viability of the institution
permissibility of activities and investments
anti-money laundering compliance
restructuring of boards and senior executive responsibilities
examination criticisms, regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
regulatory processes for the transfer of assets in banks, including affiliated transfers
matters impacting insurers, non-bank lenders and other financial institutions
the recovery and resolution of financial institutions
the regulatory requirements in relation to such actions
To build on this financial services expertise within one of the largest regulatory and government affairs groups of any global law firm, with lawyers and policy professionals throughout the world, the London team seeks to hire an additional lawyer with at least 2pqe, gained in a firm or organisation rated for its work in this area.
The successful candidate will need to possess strong financial services knowledge, excellent technical skills, alongside developed team work, project management and client care abilities.
Candidates must also demonstrate an interest in marketing and business development and a desire to help drive the practice forward.
