JOB TITLE: Court of Protection Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 4+
An exceptional opportunity to join a leading national law firm who are highly reputable for their private client work, offering their clients the highest quality legal advice and representation. You will be joining the court of protection team dealing with matters relating to health and welfare. You will have a complex and challenging caseload handling property & financial affairs, residence care, deprivations of liberty, mental health, Deputyships, Trusts and Statutory Wills. You will also provide support to other fee-earners and paralegals within the team.
You will be a specialist in court of protection welfare work, with a minimum of 4 years PQE, and able to offer professional and timely advice in this area of law. You will have an excellent understanding of developments in the law in relation to issues concerning deprivation of liberty and mental capacity whilst also having a working knowledge of community care law and the principles of public law as they apply to work in the Court of Protection. You will have also had some experience of supervising a team of fee earners and will have a good track record and passion for developing and training your team.
