Barclay Simpson are hiring on behalf of a highly visible banking group for an expierneced Senior Lawyer in their Disputes team. This exciting global role will involve advising and managing complex cross jurisdictional disputes covering the full spectrum of banking activities. 

You will take the lead on major dispute work and provide relevant stakeholders, with accurate and timely information regarding the status of assigned major disputes, cross-border orders and investigations. You will anticipate and proactively provide legal advice, guidance and support for projects and initiatives aimed to reduce and mitigate risk in contentious cases. In addition you will maintain close relationships with the Group’s businesses and support functions in order to provide them with relevant legal advice, guidance and support on disputes or investigations.

To be considered for this role you should be a highly capable litigator and cross border disputes specialist with around 8 years PQE. You should be able to demonstrate previous expiernece working with complex multinational financial services businesses, which can have been gained through a previous in house role on from a secondment though a top law firm. In addition to the above you should possess excellent interpersonal skills and expiernece influencing senior level stakeholders in a number of jurisdictions.
