AVIATION FINANCE SOLICITOR, LONDON, US LAW FIRM, NQ-2 PQE*

The London office of this US firm is known for its expertise in legal issues associated with Global Transportation.

The Practice

The firm’s aviation finance lawyers form the core of the London Transportation Finance team and have achieved global recognition and prominence, with a broad base of clients and experience.

The practice is recognised for its aviation industry knowledge, practical approaches and responsive service.

The practice represents participants in all aspects of aviation finance, including:

  • Export credit agencies
  • Multinational banks and other financial institutions
  • International aircraft operating lessors
  • Investors, including private equity and hedge funds
  • Manufacturers
  • Some of the world’s largest airlines

Examples of the types of transactions the practice assist with are:

  • Government-supported financings
  • Public and private securitisations
  • Single-investor operating leases
  • Secured loans
  • Leveraged leases
  • Cross-border leases and back-leveraged operating leases
  • Warehouse loan facilities
  • Progress payment facilities
  • Residual value guaranties
  • Purchases and sales of single aircraft and multi-aircraft portfolios
  • Purchases, sales and financings of aviation equipment, such as simulators
  • Joint ventures
  • Workouts and restructurings

The Role

The ideal candidate for the role will have/be:

- NQ – 2 PQE* of Finance matters

- Genuine interest in aviation finance

- Technically excellent

- Trained and practiced at an established Finance practice
