Our client is an innovative law firm that has expanded significantly in the last 2 years and one which offers an alternative to conventional law firm partnerships. The model is designed to offer senior lawyers an integrated platform where they keep the majority of fees generated by their own clients. The firm has successfully integrated numerous partners from small to large international law firms across most main practice areas including corporate/M&A, banking & finance, dispute resolution, real estate, private equity, IT/technology and outsourcing, employment law, investment funds, energy, projects and shipping and international trade.  The collective client base of the firm includes a large number of Footsie 100 companies, international corporations, smaller to mid-sized corporates both listed and private, financial institutions and private equity/VC firms.  Internal support includes accessibility to paralegals, trainee solicitors as well as a range of associates typically trained and experience in large international law firms.  There is also full administrative and operational support including secretarial, administration, business development and marketing. Cross selling is encouraged and increasingly occurring as partners use the skills of their colleagues on larger transactions and fee splits are accordingly put in place. The firm has the resources to mirror those that would be available in a larger firm but with significantly better financial rewards than you would typically enjoy in larger conventional partnership. Full PI cover is included in the services offered and you are at liberty to use your own secretarial or admin support if you wish.  The firm is now starting to expand its offering internationally and it already has partners on board who operate from their own jurisdictions with full intranet access to their state of the art case management and on-line billing systems.  The next big phase of the firm’s international expansion will be to build initially a leading Africa practice in London followed by strategic expansion into some key jurisdictions in sub-Sahara Arica. Unlike conventional law firm partnerships their model allows for local lawyers on the ground in the main sub-Saharan jurisdictions to become a part of the overall firm.  The model also allows for any of their partners to co-counsel with other international firms if their mandates require that. This opportunity would suit partners or senior associates who have already built their own partial or full client base and are seeking to benefit more financially from their efforts. Candidates with practices in the areas of corporate, finance, real estate, private equity, dispute resolution, international arbitration, energy, oil & gas, infrastructure projects and most specialist areas of law are sought. You will earn a significant part of your generated fee income and also benefit from work you may need to refer to other partners in the firm.  This is a unique and outstanding opportunity to monetize your practice for your own benefit in an entrepreneurial environment from a sustainable business model that is adapted to the changes impacting the legal profession. The firm aims to be the first ever to open offices in numerous sub-Saharan jurisdictions in an integrated manner.
