Commercial IP/TMT - Partner - impressive mid-size City firm
Applications are sought from senior IP/IT lawyers interested in joining a prestigious and entrepreneurial mid-size commercial law firm based in London, which seeks to augment its highly regarded TMT practice by appointing an additional partner.
The firm is a circa 50-lawyer (c. 20 partners) commercial practice with core strengths in Corporate, Corporate Finance, Commercial and TMT/IP, and sector specialisms in Media (traditional and digital), Technology, Life Sciences, and Entertainment/Leisure.
Their TMT practice advises a broad range of corporate, institutional and entrepreneur clients on a wide range of commercial issues relating to IT, digital media, e-commerce, emerging technology, commercial contracts, intellectual property and data protection.
They seek to appoint a versatile, commercial and ambitious TMT/IP partner to complement their well-established practice. In particular they are interested in speaking with lawyers who have strong sector knowledge and presence within new technology, e-commerce and digital media. There will be abundant opportunities for the incoming partner to pick up work from the firm's existing client base but it is expected that a lawyer with trusted adviser status will have built up their own practice with a loyal client base.
You will be joining a cohesive and collaborative partnership, which is clear of the politicking and bureaucracy which distracts many Big Law partnerships. The fertile platform includes the opportunity to work in tandem with a large Corporate team who are very well connected in the private equity/venture capital sector and regularly advise businesses whose key assets lie in technology and IP.
Candidates fulfilling these criteria who have trained and qualified at a directory rated practice are encouraged to send their CV in complete confidence to Alec Harvey in the Jameson Legal London office. Please can you send your CV in English and in Word format where possible.
