Junior Corporate Advisory Lawyer
Expansion at this niche insurance company requires an additional lawyer with a new skill set. Due to a more complicated company structure, they are looking to hire a junior lawyer with some corporate advisory skills, ideally with some exposure to company secretarial work. The core part of the work will be business as usual legal affairs. This could be commercial contracts, lease queries, HR issues, helping underwriters, sanctions advice, assisting with complicated claims etc. The corporate advisory work will require advice around employee shares, off shore dealings, Companies House changes and submissions, and supporting the board. Extensive experience in this area is not required but there will be an excellent opportunity to have this part as your own within the remit of a supportive team and at an early point in your career.
Our client is looking for a bright and fun lawyer with a core corporate or commercial skill set with some company secretarial experience. This can be from a university course, during training contract or from practice in a law firm or in-house. Insurance experience is not required. Personality needs to be in abundance. Ideally you will be the type who puts their hands up and gets on with it, who can appreciate that lawyers are not always loved by the business, but then add value anyway. This is a small team in a dynamic company with an open, down to earth environment. It is an exciting time in the company’s growth to join an organisation where employees are well looked after.
