FINANCIAL SERVICES LITIGATOR c. 8-10 YEARS' PQE, PART-TIME!!!
Our client is a high profile fund manager looking to engage a part-time litigator to work for him on a consultancy basis. The main objective of the role is to provide strategic advice in connection with various partnership disputes with his previous firm. You will advise on the conduct of the arbitration/ litigation, liaising with barristers and external law firms who have ben instructed. A significant amount of time will be required initially for the consultant to familiarize themselves with present and past litigation involving our client and his previous firm. The role will develop organically as the litigation unfolds.
The role is part-time and an initial fixed term contract of 1 year (with opportunity to extend)
At this stage the estimated time commitment would be 2.5-3 days per week, with flexibility to increase the time commitment as the role requires. The candidate will be required to be flexible and work autonomously both from home and in the clients' offices in Mayfair 1 day per week.
The ideal candidate will be a UK qualified solicitor or barrister (ideally at associate or junior partner level) with extensive City litigation experience, including business and partnership disputes and arbitration. Ideally, we would expect the candidate to have 8-10 years' +PQE but the most important aspect is that the individual is robust and has experience of acrimonious litigation involving partnership disputes.
