We are working exclusively for this global integrated entertainment, media, gaming and betting company. Working with the head of legal in the UK we are looking to add a legal counsel to the London office. The company are at important stage of their development and see London as a strategic part of growth and development.

The legal department supports all the business teams within the company including operations, marketing, regulatory and commercial. As a consequence the work is very broad and covers commercial contracts (software, IP, data protection and content), multi-jurisdictional regulatory issues, litigation management and advice on new legislation. You will work with important stakeholders and will be expected to develop and maintain positive relationships internally and also with outside counsel and the regulators.

To succeed in the role your legal experience and personality are as important as seniority. You will have gained at least two, and up to eight, years solid experience working at a leading law firm or within an in-house role. You’ll be familiar with commercial contracts and will adopt a commercial approach.  As you will work closely with the business you will be comfortable advising a wide range individuals, will be able to demonstrate business acumen and will be a team player. A down to earth approach and good inter-personal skills are essential. Candidates with specific on-line gaming and betting expertise are encouraged to apply, as are lawyers with broad corporate and commercial experience who have an interest in the business.

This is an excellent and exceptional role within one of the leading companies in the sector. Working closely with the highly regarded head of legal will give you the opportunity to gain excellent legal, commercial and in-house skills that will ensure your long term success in-house.
