This leading US law firm is one of the largest in the world, and has recently grown its London office considerably with a number of high-profile partner-level hires. Both the funds/corporate and the real estate groups are headed by true market leaders, and due to a continuing increase in workflow, the teams are now seeking additional associate support. Having placed these teams with the firm this year, Edwards Gibson has now been instructed to assist with this further growth.

The teams are still relatively small, so there would be plenty of opportunity for growth and progression, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is keen to join a small close-knit team where they can gain responsibility and autonomy and feel valued. In addition, the firm offers a very competitive salary, and although associates at the firm work hard, it does not have the kind of culture that many US law firms have become notorious for.

Real Estate Lawyer 3-5PQE

The firm has long-since established itself as a real estate heavyweight in the US, and is now looking to mirror this in the UK. Following recent partner-level hires, the firm now has a strong platform here in London, and it is now looking to bolster the team’s associate ranks.

The team undertakes a wide range of complex commercial real estate work, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, portfolio sales, sophisticated lettings, and development projects. The group is seeking a talented mid-level real estate lawyer with between 3-5 years PQE. You will have excellent academics, and will currently be working in a well-regarded real estate practice.

Funds/Corporate Lawyer 2-8PQE

Given the firm’s stellar reputation in the real estate sector, the funds practice in London has a real estate sector focus. The role would involve the formation and structuring of various funds, as well as advising on wider corporate real estate transactions such as joint ventures and structured acquisitions and disposals.

Ideal candidates will have between 2 and 8 years’ PQE, and will have extensive experience of fund formation, corporate real estate, or general corporate M&A. You might be an experienced funds lawyer seeking quality and autonomy, or a corporate lawyer looking for a change. A previous focus on real estate funds is not necessary, and the team would be interested in seeing candidates with solid general funds/corporate experience.
