Corporate Partner – US Firm

This Am Law 100 US firm continues to steadily build in the London market. Established for some time in London, it has made steady progress recently in an understated way and not only is full service, but is well placed for further growth. The firm has good strength across sectors (including energy, financial services, technology, FMCG, manufacturing) but is not particularly sector focused, allowing partners to operate across different sectors and to benefit from the wealth of strong relationships that the firm has, stemming from its US headquarters.

The firm has been prudently financially managed, so it has weathered the challenges of the global economy over the last few years very well maintaining a very healthy financial basis and is now perfectly placed to continue its upwards trajectory. The recent political uncertainty has not affected the firm's activity and its long established and significant corporate relationships particularly in the US and internationally underpin its solid results.

The firm has an established corporate practice undertaking a range of UK originated, inward investment and cross-border transaction work, as well as a good range of work coming in through the firm's network. The London office is not dependent on the US for its corporate work, but this does count for a good level of work and is a good indicator of its joined up and collegiate approach, which is paramount to its ethos.

The firm is looking to continue with development of its corporate practice. The firm is ambitious to grow and has the capacity to expand over the next few years with a senior, established partner who is seeking to make a difference to a small but well leveraged corporate team.

This firm has a collaborative and supportive partnership culture reflected in the way it remunerates its partners and how it operates at all levels. The firm is profitable and has a very sensible and long-term approach to partner remuneration ensuring that partners are paid very well and at a level reflective of overall contribution.
