Great opportunity for a lawyer with solid Sanctions and Trade Control experience to join the respected legal team of a leading energy company. They develop/operate large scale projects across the globe and the role will offer plenty of challenge and involvement in cutting edge trade control and sanctions issues.

Working alongside other specialist lawyers, your role will be to: guide the business on the interpretation and practical application of international Export Control and Trade Sanctions laws/regulations (EU predominantly but also/other regimes); support the in the evaluation of export compliance risks; support on compliance strategies and the development/implementation of trade control compliance programs; stay abreast of regulatory changes and work to ensure the adoption of best practice; interface with government agencies on key export control and sanctions issues; manage outside counsel; and to provide internal training.

You should have a sharp legal mind, a proven track record of providing practical advice on trade control and sanctions matters and be comfortable advising on such issues independently. A mid to senior level lawyer is sought for the role to be based either in London or the Netherlands.
