Construction disputes Partner, Head of a small team

I am acting for a growing UK firm with a renowned culture. Talented lawyers can be assured a collegiate and supportive environment, an established client base and really good long term prospects here.

The firm is looking, strategically, to hire a London-based  partner as its construction  team grows and develops and increasingly becomes a significant profit centre for the firm.

You will be working with acknowledged and high profile disputes partners from across the network and can be certain to benefit from some large and embedded relationships with national and international clients.

Work is of high quality and varied (it’s likely you will be a generalist). The insurance/professional indemnity side of construction is dealt with elsewhere so this is more vanilla commercial construction work, including adjudications and arbitration.

Ideally the firm would be looking for a partner  - at any stage of their career - who is willing to lead the practice in London. Some following is important but not the most essential requirement for this role.   You should definitely be willing to lead a team, nurture juniors and bring people on. And work hard to integrate the practice with other parts of the firm and offices. A profile within the London market and certainly a “go to” network will be useful.

The firm has a good reputation for integrating new partners and will give you plenty of time to bed in.

The firm has had stable growth in turnover and profit in recent years, is well managed and with a compensation framework that encourages team working and sharing.
