Our client is a full-service law firm with tier 1 rankings in most of its practice arears for the Gulf region and beyond. Their full-service practice advises a broad range of clients on a full range of corporate and commercial services that enables their clients to achieve their business objectives.
As one of the veteran firms in the region, they have built their reputation over a period of in excess of 25 years in Gulf.

The need has arisen for a senior construction arbitration solicitor to join their established Dubai office where you will head the current team. Candidates will be common law qualified with some experience gained ideally in the Middle East. Their construction and Infrastructure team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters and this role is focussed more on the contentious side. They act on behalf of governments, real estate developers, large domestic and international contractors and sub-contractors, healthcare providers and energy & infrastructure companies. Candidates will have at least 8 years pqe and those more senior at partner level will also be considered if you can demonstrate a useful network of clients and contacts in the region. It is likely that you will currently be with a top international law firm or possibly in-house having trained and gained post qualification experience with a leading firm. Senior Juniors of Silks from leading construction chambers may be considered depending on individual circumstances.

On offer are a combination of high quality matters, significant responsibility from day 1 including managing the current team and assuming head of department status, heavy involvement in country specific and firm wide business development strategy, involvement in firm wide corporate group strategy along with a top tax-free salary.

You will report to a partner who is rated in international arbitration circles and who spent most of his career in the US. Having personally placed the partner there I am well aware of the expectations requires and will be a good sounding board for candidates who may be tentatively looking at opportunities where confidentiality is key.

This is an excellent opportunity for a committed and ambitious senior associate/counsel/junior partner who is focussed on earnings potential, prospects and the attraction of making a big or bigger name for your-self in an important jurisdiction
