Senior In-House Lawyer to support Treasury Function
Reputational and financial growth in an established UK bank requires an additional lawyer to join the treasury legal team. As one of 6 members of the team, we are looking to source an experienced lawyer with at least 5 years qualification in private practice, and ideally some in-house experience, probably from within a debt capital markets, structured finance or securitisation team. We will be keen to see lawyers with in-house experience of treasury functions, be it on a permanent basis or on secondment. You will work on capital, funding and liquidity issues as well as securitsations and structured finance transactions (structured notes, structured deposits, warehousing, etc.). There is also the opportunity to get involved in broader wholesale banking legal work and you will also work on regulatory projects impacting these businesses. You will manage legal risk whilst facilitating the execution of deals and you will work closely with the teams working on the development of the banks debt programmes as well as funding, planning and strategy. You will get direct business contact beyond what you might expect at some other banks and you will be expected to be hands on and proactive. This organisation believes in giving its customers a personal service and you will also be treated and respected as a valued employee. Flexibility around the working day can be considered although this is a full-time position.
