Internal restructuring has allowed for a new front office vacancy with this strong European bank based in the City. Sitting along side the distressed debt and restructuring team, this is a purely legal role which reports into the legal department but with responsibility to the business. The position will entail advising on the work out of all types of securitisation and other cash securities as well as interest rate and cash flow hedging in structured finance deals and other structured credit products. In liaising with the structurers, traders, sales teams and rating agencies the day to day work will include preparing legal documentation and due diligence reports, instructing legal counsel and reporting back to the legal department. The client is insistent that managing legal risk is top of the agenda and conforming with all internal and external legal, regulatory and compliance requirements is a major part of the role.
As a stand alone position it is essential that the new role holder is highly experienced in the structuring and restructuring of RMBS, CMBS and ABS as well as other more complex cash products. You should be confident with collateral management agreements, ISDA documentation and tailor made documentation as well as having broad derivatives experience. We would expect the suitable applicant to have at least 6 years experience but probably nearer 10 and you should be able to work autonomously whilst understanding the importance of operating as a team and liaising with the legal department. There is an excellent base salary and package on offer for the successful candidate as well as rewarding career ahead.
