A thriving European bank has announced a new post for a mid-level finance lawyer to sit within the structured finance legal team. This role comes with responsibility and autonomy as it will involve supporting a business team who have so far had no dedicated legal resource. The extra support is required due to an increased workload, which has evolved from the success and strength of this bank throughout the downturn. The team that you would be supporting cover tax and debt finance and in addition to this, you would be working on structured finance and securitisation, project finance and leveraged finance alongside the rest of the legal team. You will be structuring transactions as well as identifying legal risk and giving day to day legal advice but this role does not involve giving tax advice.
Our client is looking for someone around 3-4 years qualified with previous in-house experience, either as a secondment or permanent position. You must have been trained at a top UK law firm and have post qualification experience in any area of finance. Capital markets and securitisation experience would also be beneficial. No previous tax exposure is required. This position offers direct contact with internal clients and external counsel and the opportunity to work autonomously within a supportive environment.
