Job: SOLE LEGAL COUNSEL

An unusual opportunity has arisen in one of Asia's larger banks, to be their first legal counsel in the London office. You will be responsible for drafting, negotiating and reviewing counterparty documentation, as well as more general commercial contracts; managing deals from start to finish from a legal perspective; and providing legal advice to senior level people across the bank in other departments. The main lines of business for the bank are Treasury, Corporate Banking, Trade Finance and Commodity Derivatives.

Ideally you will come from a derivatives background and possess a minimum of 4 years PQE. The ideal candidate will have a broad background encompassing corporate/project/leverage/acquisition/trade finance, however exposure to all these areas is not essential. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation embarking on global expansion. The successful candidate will be employed on a 6 month contract initially with a view to being made permanent at the end of the contract.
