Job: Senior In-House Shipping Litigation Lawyer

A senior management position has recently become available at a Central London based shipping company. As well as managing and recruiting more junior lawyers and claims handlers, this role will involve dealing with high value professional claims, authorising the issuance of guarantees, allocating claims, implementing the claims procedures and policies, liaising with underwriters and reinsurance specialists and working with senior management in the organisation including sitting on committee and board meetings. The management element will involve working to an established management programme to include recruitment, appraisals, training and development, team building, discipline and efficiency.

For this role we are looking for a senior qualified lawyer with at least 5 years experience. You should be confident at dealing with shipping claims of all kinds on an international level. It is a requirement that you have previous management experience and your background can either be private practice or in-house.
