A leading digital music provider seeks an experienced lawyer with media, entertainment, technology and IP commercial experience where you will be based in Luxembourg reporting to the Legal Director and will work closely with business team members. You will focus on drafting and negotiating content license agreements for both sound recording and music publishing rights and advise on a broad range of marketing, compliance and IP matters. Candidates must have a minimum 2.1 law degree to be considered.
You will report to the Legal Director and work closely with a senior legal counsel supporting business team members on a range of negotiating content license agreements for both sound recording and music publishing rights and advising on a broad range of marketing, compliance and IP matters. You will work autonomously on a range of digital music contracts and license agreements and ensure to reduce online copyright infringement. There will be travelling required with this position and very attractive perks on offer.
Candidates must have a 2.1 law degree with first class legal experience of digital music and the ability to work autonomously on complex license agreements. You must have a minimum of 4 years PQE and have gained digital music legal knowledge from a leading international law firm or in-house department of a world renowned music label. The ideal candidate will have solid experience of transactions in digital media, entertainment, technology, or IP transactions with the ability to manage multiple projects. You will work closely with a number of highly valued (music industry) clients and candidates must have a good personality and the ability to communicate in pragmatic manner. Candidates must have a love for music and be knowledgeable of different genres and have excellent presentation and organisational skills whilst excellent communication skills is essential. Strong drafting and negotiation English skills are essential with a fluency in another European language (ideally French or German) is desirable.
